Lost Track of Time’s ‘Enchanted forest’ - event review

Last Friday, Lost Track of Time returned to Lakota with its iconic immersive experience ‘The Enchanted Forest’. This event delivered a multi-sensory journey through sound, space and spectacle, perfect for anyone wanting to be freed from the shackles of Brass Pig…

Lakota - a legendary venue with deep roots in Bristol’s underground scene - was completely transformed, sprawling across both its main nightclub space and the adjoining Coroner's Court. With over five different stages, party goers were teleported into an otherworldly maze of themed decor, live performance art and projection mapping. There were surprises round every corner, from fire performers to dancers, all tied together with the amazing set design. These elements have quickly become hallmarks of Lost Track of Time’s most memorable nights - attributing to the fact they sold over 2000 tickets for the event!

Musically, The Enchanted Forest reflects Lost Track of Time’s eclectic, curatorial vision. DJs moved seamlessly between genres - from hedonistic disco and uplifting house to deep rolling basslines and acid-synth grooves. You can always count on Lost Track of Time to produce a stacked lineup, with some of Bristol's most exciting up-and-coming talent. DJs Oli Howe and Jack Wilder, delivered one of the standout sets of the night, with an effortlessly electric b2b that felt both polished and playful. Blending house and dance with unexpected curveballs, their mix jumped seamlessly from Drake edits to artists like the Temper Trap, keeping the crowd constantly on their toes. What really set them apart, though, was their chemistry behind the decks - bouncing off each other's energy, hyping each other up and clearly having the time of their lives. The crowd fed off it instantly, packing the floor and responding to every switch up with hands in their air and nonstop grooving. Positioned under a shimmering disco ball, with lighting that wrapped the room in warm pulses and flashes, the atmosphere felt genuinely special. Lost Track of Time completely reimagined Lakota, making it feel like an entirely different venue altogether.

What sets this night apart from other house/disco events in Bristol is its focus on collective experience. Lost Track of Time events are less about headline acts and more about shared atmosphere - encouraging people to dress up and engage with the environment. This sense of participation helps foster a crowd that feels connected, curious and open, something increasingly rare in larger club settings.

As winter rolls on, The Enchanted Forest offers a much needed escape from reality, a chance to step into a different world, dance without distractions and emerge having genuinely lost track of time.
