A team of physicists and chemists from the University of Bristol’s Cabot Institute have developed a new way of using nuclear waste. They have created a man-made diamond that, when placed in a radioactive field, is able to generate a small amount of electricity. I spoke to Professor Tom Scott about his involvement in this exciting development.
Thanks very much to Tom for taking part in this interview. To get involved, use the hashtag ‘diamond battery’ to suggest potential uses for this technology.
